Lead Based Paint Pamphlet and Disclosure Form

If your rental property was build on or before January 1, 1978 as a Landlord, you are required by Federal law to provide your tenants with a copy of the pamphlet Protect Your Family From Paint In Your Home. You must also fill out and have the tenant sign the lead paint disclosure form. Once the form is filled in and signed, attach it to your lease agreement.

Important! Several Magistrates and Judges will not hear a case for monetary damages if the tenant states that they were not given the pamphlet and did not sign the disclosure. Be sure to bring your lease and the disclosure to court.
